many researches from universities, national labaratories and industry, who arrive here from many different countries to perform experiments and impement new technological procedures.                                                                                                                    Ordinary day in ELETTRA: hours and hours of hard work and concentration, since even a small mistake can jeopardize days or months of activity. But the stuff and users of ELETTRA meet with challenge, because here they find an uniquely powerful machine to explore the intimate structure of materials, to push ahead fundamental knowledge and to improve the products of industry. 

Visit to ELETTRA. Participants of VSA’97 visited ELETTRA on 18th July. After lunch we drove to it and the staff was very kind to show us around. Many questions were asked and new discoveries were found.
